Being Still. Living Stillness.
It will be different for everyone. Someone with ADHD, will have a different approach to their stillness than someone without ADHD.
Stillness is being able to put your mind off everything and just appreciate the present moment enfold before your eyes.
Stillness is looking out the window and looking at leafs flutters in the wind. the rays of sunshine piercing through the window, or even watch the wind move nature in a beautiful dance.
Stillness is looking at a particule in mid air, shinning with the sun, slowly falling to the ground, whilst being in silence all at once.
Your mind, your body and your soul needs there moments, to better understand they are giving you, to better respect yourself and follow your intuition.
Your body is continuously talking to you, but if constantly on alert or in movement, you will have a hard time understanding what it is trying to tell you.
You can experience through all your senses and bring yourself to a moment of stillness and inner calm:
Touch:
You can feel the air through your fingers. You can stroke an animal or something soft.
Smell:
Inhaling the odour of your favorite flower, filling your lungs with air to feed every cells in your body or smelling the sent of a pine tree.
Taste:
Your actively dancing taste buds are always tasting something. The taste of a juicy peach in the summer or drinking a glass of mouth watering water, to quench that thirst.
Sound:
The sound of silence is deafening and soothes your brain and relaxes it from constant actions. The distant sound you can now hear, because you’re taking the time to stop and listen.
Sight:
The view of nature that soothes the eyes and the mind. Taking the time to contemplate the void or the horizon. Where nothing moves and you can once again soothe your mind.
As you are standing in that moment of stillness, after taking a few minutes to appreciate what your senses have just lived, fill your heart with love continue with your day.
Repeat regularly, to regain power of your mind, body and soul. Regaining your femininity. Regaining YOU.
Living stillness is being ONE with yourself, during the roller coaster of life.
A moment of Peace, amongst the chaos, to cure all.
REFLECTIONS:
Do you feel overwhelmed by life sometimes?
Do you have ways to reconnecting to yourself?
What’s your way of feeling stillness?
