1st of January, New Resolutions, Moving, Life Quakes, Divorce, Empty Nesters, New relationships, Travelling, New Careers, Children and more.
What do they have in common? They are all New Beginnings at the very start of them.
It’s a time where our landmarks and habits change. Weh ave to learn new ways to be and live.
It is a time of discomfort, until comfort settles in.
We live many of those throughout our lives. Some more pleasant than others.
Time, Patience and Care is usually the key.
I’ve lived through many New Beginnings.
Some were the happiest moments of my life. Others felt like the world was crumbling from under my feet.
The happy moments, tend to b eeasier. But it’s important to continu having our self reflections and not get lost in those moments. Take ourselves for granted in them. It is easy to just give our power away. It is however, very important to appreciate those moments. Be happy, be in the moment. Relish the good times, when they come.
When the harder times come around, it’s time, oatience and care that we need to give ourselves. Find ways to remember who we are. Ground ourselves and carry ourselves to our highest standard even if its hard.
In my case it was the hardships I had endured for over 18 months.
I was broken, demolished, in excruciating pain and unable to recognize myself.
I tried to repair the broken pieces of my relationships, but it turned out to be impossible.
I knew that the events I had gone through would create one of those life crossroads. Those changes felt like it would break me. One of those crossroads where you are never the same again. It makes you grow, makes you learn and become closer to the best and worst version of yourself.
I had to turn for help in order to get to the best version of myself. Accept help. Realize that I had to get help. Most of the way I did it on my own, because no one can lift you up, other than yourself, if you really want to.
It is also when and where I realized who my real friends are and relationships are. The ones I want to continu my life with. The ones that matter. The ones that show up at your worst, are the ones that are worth fighting for. Its not always clear at first, but in due time, it becomes clearer.
Even if you've had harder times in the past with those people at a better time in your life, if they show up at your worst, never under estimate the healing power they can provide and what kind of healing power it gives you to continue healing.
Those months taught me how resilient, strong, powerful and fierce I am. How to set my boundaries, my limits, recognize my needs and desires and appreciate my full value. Not let anyone else define who I am and who I will become.
Relearn who I am, what I want, need and desire.
I have more power within myself than anyone else could ever give me.
This works for everyone. You simply have to believe in your process, time is a healer, resting when you need it without judgement and self care. One day at a time, brings you eventually into the light and out of the darkness. The light becomes brighter as time goes by.
Always remember that happiness is NOT a destination, but a journey. So in order to bring yourself into the life, you have to make time to appreciate the beauty in this world, the simple things a day can bring and appreciate what surrounds you.
I’m no longer the person I was all those months ago, but I think I’ve return to my core and an even better version of myself.
I see the world differently, with more peace, kindness, love and joy. I approach it with no judgement and more care. Believing that all is possible, if I continue believing in myself and my journey.
You deserve to do the same and find peace.
Take the Time to look at how far you’ve come. Celebrate your milestones!
I wish you, wether you are going through something hard in your life or are simply looking for motivation:
Kindness to yourself
Lots of moments of Joy
Beautiful magical moments of self discovery
Discovering what "Simple moments of happiness" mean
REFLECTIONS:
What do you wish for yourself today and tomorrow?
What date will you set yourself to find your light?
Who will you ask for help to bring you closer to "the you" more at peace?
What are the first three things that define you? (write them down and start there)
