4. Birth

Birth... Giving birth and being born. What a poetic moment, filled with so many emotions.

Most of us never remember our birth... We most certainly remember giving birth... for the ones who have. But being born, is apparently not something we should remember.

Such a labour of love, but tough and painful moment, for both the baby and the mother.

Squeezing a head through a small hole... Head bones overlapping. It's no wonder we don't remember it.

My coming into the world was joyous. I don't remember, or have seen in pictures, any bad moments. It was my mom and I against the world!

My grand-parents were a large part of it, as well.

I came into this world fatherless, but none the wiser. It didn't bother me, I was surrounded by love and loved ones. The beauty of coming into the world with only 1 parent and no siblings, is you get all the attention. You are given all the time and care needed. You're the rock start of your very own show.

Obviously, back in the 80s, being a child without a father, wasn't ideal. An unmarried mother with child... DEAR DEAR DEAR! How could she... LOL Well, grow up! It's not the end of the world. To anyone who ever said anything about a situation like this. I much preferred being the child of an unmarried mother, than the child of a loveless marriage, a forced marriage or a marriage that wouldn't have lasted. They spared me the sadness of separation and divorce. Why not see the bright side of things...?!

Let me tell you, seeing the bright side of things, can take a long time, but this concept, was a quick one to grasp. Luckily I had the love and support to allow me to never bother about such an old notion.

The person missing the life of a young being, for whatever reason, is at their loss. They are the ones missing out on the becoming of a new being. The becoming of what took generations to create. All humans are worth deserve to receive love. Love is all!

Whatever form you receive love in, from one, two or more people, it will form you for the path you are about to lead. The one and only love you truly need, is your own. Love yourself as you are, everyday. You are worth it.

Birth is love and love is all!
